No paid time off of course, so I'm currently eating through my own cash so that I don't get my coworkers sick

At my old job at the after school program I got shamed and pressured about calling in sick and yaknow what? Sometimes it really was just because i couldnt handle work with my mental health that day. When I was trying to interview to come back to work after my boss's bullying got me partially hospitalized they mentioned "you do kind of call out a lot..." and I really wanted to be like "thats my secret captain, when you're mentally ill you're ALWAYS sick" but I didnt.

But seriously like. I worked with CHILDREN. Why would you want to force someone who doesnt feel like they can work that day to work with CHILDREN. Even if its not an infectious disease they could catch. If I say Im too depressed to work that day, you probably dont want me around kids right? This seems obvious to me...
