Yesterday saw a post by a self-defined minority defending white person that stated that comparing what Israel is doing now to what the Nazis did is Holocaust Inversion and therefore a form of antisemitism and everybody who does that is antisemitic. I walked away from that conversation, but really? Is this a thing?

In my mind the colonial state of Israel is not the same as Jews, so not sure I get this. In my mind people who are Jewish aren't a monolith any more than any other group. And the state of Israel as it operates in my understanding does not represent the Jewish people as some monolith, but is an oppressive right wing ultranationalistic group of zionists, and they are indeed doing things that can be compared to what the nazis did?

But if anyone can educate me on this I'd appreciate it, because I don't want to accidentally be saying bad things.
