When I was a very small kid my parents told me that they gave our dog Magellan to someone that lived in the middle of nowhere outside of Flagstaff, Arizona. As an adult I asked my mom if they literally did the "send the dog to a farm upstate" thing to me and she told me that they didn't. That dog apparently sucked and they gave him to the only person that actually liked him lol.
