      It's a story in the same way draft legislation is a story in the US. There's nothing too shameful about this.

        There is zero effort to request information from any actual Chinese state officials. The story goes straight to a Morningstar consultant - an American financial services firm to get a quote that amounts to "Me no know".

        Zero effort at investigative journalism. Just commentary on a change in the stock ticker of a few major publicly traded companies and some boilerplate history about state regulation of gameplay among students from three years ago.

        Shameful? It's fucking embarrassing.
