Seems like there between 1-5 per state on average with some big outliers so probably ~200 however
This list also includes flags of towns, consolidated city-counties, villages, municipalities, and unincorporated areas, in addition to de jure cities.
and there are many in that list that are historical and not current. I'll admit there's mroe than 30 but it still isn't all that prevalent, there are almost 20,000 towns, city-counties, villages etc.
It's also a very incomplete list. Less significant towns are left off of it. As a little experiment, I web searched like 10 tiny cities near me, and 8 of them had flags. Some of them were shitty and just slapped their seal on them but that still counts because they fly it at city hall.
Why is there an USA shape on the globe tho?
e: oh it's from Chicago
After the revolution the US will be destroyed and out of the ashes Greater Chicago rises to ascendancy
Pretty sure that’s what happens in Halo lore anyway
Thanks, I didn't know cities had flags and was kind of sketched out by the US being there covered in what looked to be Stars of David.
It's not really all that common, I think only like 30 cities actually have their own official flags.
It's more like several hundred at least, based on this list: https://simple.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flags_of_cities_of_the_United_States
