like its obviously good that we've got an actual radical leftist with a very long history of being pro-palestine into parliament in the UK, but also he sucks so bad on trans issues and basically every other socially progressive issue. Im kind of like tentatively supportive of him since like as far as im aware in the rochdale election the options were basically transphobic far right neoliberal, transphobic bipartisan neoliberal, transphobic pedophile fascist and discount corbyn but transphobic for no apparent reason (average terf island local election ukkk), and like at this point it doesnt seem like there's really any none fucked up opposition to the stranglehold the right has this country in

(also the liberals and the conservatives are both bipartisanly throthing at the mouth to get him out for being too pro palestine so that's funny ngl)

TL;DR:

"Mum, can we get Corbyn?"
"We already have Corbyn at home"
The Corbyn at home:

    Look, this ain’t it, ok?

The only places I can excuse are countries that have genuinely been victims of Western imperialism, with reservations (looking at you especially, Russia), countries that genuinely have a bone to pick with Western liberalism, where the forced imposition of neoliberal order had led to mass poverty, the fabrics of society torn apart and the oppression of their national and cultural identities (treating them as the Bad CountriesTM that ought to be disciplined if not outright destroyed), whose “lack of social progress” and “human rights issues” have been used as justifications for military interventions and economic sanctions to perpetuate the imperialist aims of the global hegemon.

In such cases, the Great Rejection of Western culture became not only a necessity, but an inevitable reaction, and the unfortunate consequences include collateral damages to aspects that are genuinely progressive, but not organic to the local movements. We’re not even going to talk about how Western imperialists had their hands in massacring leaders, activists and supporters of progressive movements from the Third World that directly led to the rise of right wing dictatorships across the world.

As Mao taught us, the principal contradiction of these countries is anti-imperialism, which forms the dominant part of the struggle.

However, if you live in the Imperial Core that perpetrate and benefit from the colonial exploitations of the developing world and still complain about gay people and trans people, then you’re just a reactionary. Period. There is no reconciliation with these reactionaries from the left.
