I believe communism has zero or worse chance unless people stop demanding social progressive purity. The vast majority of people are sadly bigoted one way or another. This includes leftists. You need to look past the bigotry and realize it's rooted in the despair caused by capitalism. People seek "the other" to hate or feel better than to brighten in a very twisted way their sullen existence. Capitalists perpetuate queerphobia and use performative fight against it to enslave queer people to the oppression they create for us.

In such cases, the Great Rejection of Western culture became not only a necessity, but an inevitable reaction, and the unfortunate consequences include collateral damages to aspects that are genuinely progressive, but not organic to the local movements. We’re not even going to talk about how Western imperialists had their hands in massacring leaders, activists and supporters of progressive movements from the Third World that directly led to the rise of right wing dictatorships across the world.

Deeply ignorant on the subject. Maybe he can be educated. Father of six - odds are one of them is going to end up queer. There's nothing shielding is going to stop it. It will come out eventually, and if it ddoesn't come out in a healthy way, then it will come out in an unhealthy way. You can not bottle it up forever without consequences.
Too much focus on it though shows willingness. I hope he is able to accept his queer child and understand it was always there and you don't just flick a switch. The only switch is closeted or open.
