    I never understood how these ponies got so popular.

    I'm not complaining or shaming anyone, I just personally don't get it.

    Mind you, I bet people would say the same thing about me liking Kirby or Sonic

      My guess is that the positive and upbeat themes of MLP: FiM attracted an audience that was tired of the consistently dark, gloomy, and cynical themes of mainstream media.

      You should give the first season a watch. Been awhile since I’ve seen it but I remember it being a genuinely good show.
