It’s weird, tbh I checked the mod log to figure out what that meant. It’s not there. Enough to ban but not enough to remove is an odd choice.
Does that mean you did not say what you think as in “my words were phrased in a manner that caused it”?
Not trying to grill you or anything, I also play the game of “what did we learn today” whenever I see a “removed”show up in a comment. I just find the rules and whatnot of the social norms established here interesting and like to learn about what exactly the boundaries and their reasoning are.
I think the modlog hasn't been showing all comment removals ever since the great update. If you go into OP's account history, you can see a comment in c/technology saying "Removed by mod" that isn't showing up in the modlog.
Mods have the ability to remove comments when banning someone, this wipes the comments but doesn't put them into modlog as it could be hundreds of thousands of comments removed. The ideal fix would be to remove comments within a time period (hours or days) and put them in mod log, but until then I just remove the offending comments, then ban.
