Liker first off, yes, but I didn't actually say it, you just assumed. And second, say what you just said out loud, but slowly.
Well, if we used power to stop the people who want to genocide us, then we'd be as bad as the people who want to genocide us. The better alternative is to dick around until our enemies gain enough of a foothold to genocide us and then let them genocide us. That way, we're noble.

We have a Republican candidate who will (and will have the power to) supposedly genocide a mass of undesirables if he takes office (something we were promised the first time he ran for office too by the way)
We have a gigantic group of undesirables (Republicans) who want to put such a person in office (a person who, as I've already stated, will gulag a ton of people on the usually Democrat side of the aisle)
Democrats would also have that power equally themselves, cause otherwise the other guy couldn't have it
Knowing point 1 and 2, why doesn't the current president do what the other guy would do, but to that guy's voter base? If they (republicans) gain power, they're allegedly going to literally do this themselves; why aren't they being shoved in those very camps? Is the whole point to just play keep away with Republicans eternally? If so, not only is this system a joke, but Democrats are a joke too for treating this as a game.
the only victory the care about is the moral one. and even then, moral only means preserving the rules of the system, even as it collapses down upon them.
