And many are tapping into their resentment against a brand of feminism that hasn’t felt inclusive, or that simply hasn’t fulfilled its promise.

    If I didn't have to put half my income toward rent I would have probably settled down with a family by now even despite being trans. It's painfully thinking what I could have done if I hadn't had to give various landlords close to $200,000 through my adult life (I'm not even old).

      It's not much better mortgaging. We bought our first home 18 years ago with a 20% down payment, and we currently own... 42% of it. The amount we've paid already exceeds the full price of the home. By a lot.
