The cat girl race the mithra are by far the most popular race on this server, seen more of them than humans.

For sure, I feel like the physical combat in that game is more rewarding than other MMOs. If you have played other MMOs do you get that feeling too?

Yeah so far FFXI has a bit more going on than simple auto attack until the enemy is dead, in the sense of keeping track of your tp and doing skillchains with party members. Though the only mmo's I've ever played are Everquest, Ultima Online, FFXI, some WoW, and Phantasy Star Online.

I totally get you. I first played PSO on the Dreamcast then later ended up getting FFXI for the PS2. It was crazy the evolution in gameplay it sort of left my mind blown. Even now I tell people FFXI stands up to the test of time in the fact that it managed to evolve past the grind of kMMOs.

Is there any other job in FFXI that looks fun to you?

Funny enough PSO was set to be the next MMO I'm going to dip into once FFXI and UO get too boring. It for sure holds up and with the QOL changes the game has now it cuts down on the grind and speeds up leveling. I get some people don't like that, but for those of us who don't have hours to set aside looking for a party and grinding out exp it's a godsend. I'm enjoying the trust system, it was the devs throwing a bone to more casual gamers like myself.

I want to unlock sam as my first advanced job and probably do a sam/mnk or sam/war is that's viable.

When you get over to PSO my recommendation is playing on Ephinea as its always been stable when the itch gets too great. There is even ways to connect to their server using DC and GC versions of the game.

SAM looked fun but my eye was always on blue mage. I ended up mixing with with ninja for a really lethal combo. You end up doing a lot of melee combat with them. BLU for me was a totally insane job as a concept and there are few MMO classes that can compete for me. The only one that was more strange than it in gameplay loop was Blood Mage from Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend and cant wait to see your next thread.
