yeah i'm not trying to take anything away from them, i just hate living in the region. i'd probably hate most other places too, but i'm deeply familiar with the way it sucks here and if Eisenhower wasn't dead i'd kill him.
I get that. I always thought I'd move away from the area one day, but where else am I gonna go? This is home and everyone's home is worth fighting for, no matter how shitty the bosses have made it. Even a small victory is worth some kind of celebration, we shouldn't give in to defeatism
i feel no special attachment to place due to the accident of where my parents moved to before i was born. I hate the climate and latitude as well, not just the culture and civil planning. This place is nothing but sadness to me. A pit I briefly escaped and then was pushed back into against my will.
Home's about the friends and memories we made along the way, not some kind of fascist blood and soil essentialism. I hope you find a home either here or somewhere comrade, but mine is definitely here, everyone deserves to have a place to call home even rats who have to live in a dark wet hole like the midwest
