I remember, during the first months of the war, that a building full of volunteers got hit by a russian missil. There where a bunch of vids from the volunteers running away, yelling in english. Can't remember if it was before or after the greentext. But the public opinion then was already full of that "tractor drivers destroying tanks and jets with hunting shotguns" (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11181503/Ukrainian-pensioner-shoots-74million-Russian-Su-34-jet-RIFLE-awarded-medal.html).

I searched for articles but, after all this time, the web is clogged with other articles about missil attacks, volunteers and conscripts. Plus, propaganda.

If I find the og vids, I will share it here.

Edit: Found this article, from May 2022. Grimmer, for the volunteers, than the green text: https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2022/05/28/americans-fighting-in-ukraine/

Edit 2: I think it was this one https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yavoriv_military_base_attack

Appreciate the work finding the links, thanks.

Yes, I remember the public sentiment about Russia back then very well too. And some people still hold that view now, despite Russia's successes.

I wonder how many foreign soldiers were really killed so far, that they don't want to admit were present in Ukraine

It's disgusting that nato is willing to escalate to this extent, honestly sore losers willing to damage the world for their entitlement.
