I really don't think it's gonna take that long. Not that we're gonna do anything about it, but another 5-10 years of infections should really start causing havoc.
We already see effects of it now but it will just keep getting worse and worse. I have the same timeline as you before things get un-ignorable. This was how it was for HIV/AIDS in the US too.
