The Chapo review of this movie was one of the funniest things I've heard all week. Jerry Seinfeld is such an idiot. Which really bums me out because I love the show. But I guess that's more Larry David than Jerry Seinfeld.

I think you can really see it in Curb. Larry is obviously self-centered and petty and such but while he unapologetically himself his own show also portrays him as in the wrong in so many ways.

Never would have thought George would be the one to look up to 20+ years later.

I'm reading Wikipedia about this, and suddenly this jumps at me:

The affair engendered numerous antisemitic demonstrations, which in turn affected sentiment within the Jewish communities of Central and Western Europe. At the same time, Jews in the Russian Empire were under pressure of pogroms in response to political instability within the Pale. These factors persuaded Theodor Herzl, one of the founding fathers of Zionism, that the Jews must leave Europe and establish their own state.

The last couple of seasons without Larry just wasn't the same.

Still love those seasons but they're arguably the weakest. It was all Larry.

Well it's also inertia from Larry creating so much strong material around George, the kind of comedy, etc. So while the show continued, it only did so thanks to the inertia created by Larry's writing.
