A map illustrating the rise and expansion of the Tsardom of Russia under the rule of Ivan IV Vasilyevich (commonly known as The Terrible, from the Russian “grozny“(грозный), Fearsome or Awe-inspiring). Originally a Grand Prince of Moscow, Ivan IV became the first to be crowned and rule as the Tsar of all Russia (from the Latin Caesar), previously a conglomerate of dutchies. He laid the foundation of absolute rule, engaged in a reign of terror against the nobility, reformed the government, opened diplomatic relations with England, wrote music, oversaw cultural and religious renaissance, and aggressively expanded the Russian borders through war and conquest. Shortly after his death (in 1584), Russia entered decades of instability known as The Troubles (Смута) that ended his Rurik dynasty and opened the way for the Romanovs.

I posted a Games thread about it but I'm gonna spam the megathread too. I need one of you game devving motherfuckers to make a game. It'll make you rich if you do it well! People will eat this shit up! Hell I'd buy 5 copies even though I don't have any friends

Basically the premise is it's a cross between the anime Dungeon Meshi and the game Star Wars: The Gungan Frontier. The latter is an ecosystem management game where you're trying to set up a self sustaining environment by populating it with plants, herbivores and carnivores.

I want that, but in a dungeon. Like the core of this dungeon will provide mana that circulates throughout the dungeon, which provides a basic trophic layer for like slimes and fungi monsters. From there more advanced monsters will evolve that consume them. Then, due to the threat of monsters leaving the dungeon, plus the value of potential loot from the monsters, adventurers get lured in, with those who die having their souls consumed to provide more mana for the dungeon and keep things going

I don't want it to be like dungeon keeper, i want it to be like that Star Wars game where it's more like a hands off thing that you watch develop and influence through the environment

It would be cool if you could use dead adventurers for more than their mana. Maybe I want to use their animated corpse as a guard, or a masked ritual participant, or a tender in the fungus gardens.

Maybe the adventurer death could be split into another mechanic, maybe the mere presence of adventurers should juice up the dungeon' mana, while they're in there casting spells and stuff, but if they die their corpses could be used for undead monsters

I don't really want a game where "I'm using" their corpses though, I want it to be like, you create these material conditions and if the corpses are present they animate themselves and do their own thing. With you only influencing their behavior indirectly through the other things you populate the dungeon with.

That way it's more an ecosystem simulator and not just another Dungeon Keeper

their loot should get used to populate treasure chests to lure in more adventurers

So, roller coaster tycoon but with a dungeon. You have to set up levels of your monster ecosystem and balance it to lure adventurers in. The adventurers need to be able to go deep enough into your dungeon to make it alluring to them, but they can't have such an easy time that they just wipe out everything in their way.

Omg, and then you could have heroes that are special unique adventurers who are an increased threat to the dungeon ecosystem and you have to marshal your resources to stop them before they get to the end.

I was thinking you could also play both sides of it and direct the adventurers with bounties

So like it's like dungeon Gungan Frontier, but with Majesty mixed in where you use adventurers to take care of monsters that are over populating or a threat to the ecosystem's balance

Same way you do advertising campaigns and stuff to bring in customers in the tycoon games. You could add special bosses, loots, etc, Even specific quests that would lure in certain types of adventurers over others. Like a rare type of enemy that is popular with wizards to get more magic essence in your dungeon.
