    maybe. the former Ukraine Internal Affairs Minister and Prosecutor General said in January that Ukraine had sustained 500k casualties. western media is all over the place ofc, some outlets say 500k is actually the number of Russian casualties, some say 500k is the total number of casualties on both sides. we wont have any solid numbers until well after the conflict ends

      Also, "casualties" refers to wounded, missing, and captured as well as killed, so who knows what "losses" refer to

        likely “losses” means casualties. they prob used this wording bc ppl conflate casualties with fatalities. but using “losses” is more confusing so idk
