Carriacou has been hit had by a historically early and abnormally strong catagory 4 hurricane. Older resident says it happens about once every 20 years they get a strong one and it's been 24 years since the last major to hit the island. Also they normally come in twos.

Multiple people "worse than Ivan" which was a cat 5 storm - in September 2004. Reports Beryl had guts of up to 185 mph.

    Currently going thru my hurricane kit and updating all the things. Hurricane season is now upon us in earnest it seems. Here’s hoping for a quiet year.
