The best thing about the whole to me was that it showed how reactionary most g*mers are, and it soured me forever on being in any video game related online spaces unless they explicitly don't allow reactionaries.

I've noticed if a private server is geared towards "hardcore" players like old FFXI ones are you going to meet more G*mer reactionaries. I play on CatsEyeXI which is super casual and even still.
I think the most overt name I saw was in planetside 2: "fashygoy88"
