Specifically I'm unable to change my keyboard input language when in the app, emojis don't always work, and there is no way to use hexbear emojis in app.

First lemmy client i used was Voyager, i switched to Jerboa because it's way better. I would love to see them expand the search engine like when you use lemmy on your computer browser.
