It's my main weapon and I love it. With the right stats it hits like a truck and the charged magic attack has good range. I haven't started Shadow yet but for NG it wrecks at +10 and I Lurve it. I have a cold spellsword build and it synergizes very well with the other cold magics. You can use to conserve FP while dealing with trash then whip out Adula's sword sorcery when you're ready to cause problems.
