    GIFs are notoriously inefficient; they're always ~10x the size of a video file. That's why places like imgur convert all GIFs to MP4s.

    WEBP can do animations but I've never tried them.

      Thanks for this advice ill try it next time, I'm mot actually sure what files are best suited to hexbear tbh
