75% of democrats and 60% of independents disapprove of Israel's war on Gaza. 65% of republicans approve. Why is Harris afraid to align herself with the vast majority of her voters, against the vast majority of the opposition, on this?
Because if she spoke out against zionism she might get Oswalded? Realistically her job is to uphold the status quo though.
I don't think US politicians support Isreal out of free. It's the "Washington Consensus" position. There's no daylight on foreign policy between these people. Most of they don't have opinions on these things - they hire people who tell them what the only "serious" positions are and then they parrot them
