The Kamala Harris campaign is using memes and celebrities to present her as a fun-loving progressive candidate. In reality, she represented the ugly face of the US' brutal and corrupt justice system as prosecutor. As Vice President, she has been an apologist for genocide, war, and anti-migrant policies.

I can get why radlibs who were going to vote anyway and think that Trump will "end democracy" or whatever are happy that Biden is out and they have a shot at winning now. But the way theyre acting like Harris is different policy wise in any way is ridiculous.

She is not better on genocide. She is not better on border atrocities. She's literally just a new face on the imperialist machine.

Same was with Obama and his "change" they elected him and the only thing he achieved was 90% of civilians killed in drone strikes and waging 13 wars during his terms.

With Obama, you could at least 'pretend' before he was elected because he lied all over the place, and he didn't have those lies put to the test until he won.

Kamala is out here putting out statements that she is fully behind Israel, that she's going to run to the RIGHT of Trump on the border. The only way you can 'pretend' with her is if you literally ignore what she's saying and doing

Exactly why it's baffaling to me. Libs are acting like its the second coming of Obama - except he was a charismatic blank slate - no record to hild him to. And he wasn't saying that he was going to seek harsh border policies and support genocide.

They have to be pretending. But its so overdone. They're trying to convince themselves. Hope as tragedy and then Hope as farce

No, see i think they know it... but if they pretend they don't they can act all outaged later. In their heads though they're engaged in a political maneuver, one worth playing because she's "better than the alternative".

It might not even be that they're trying to fool anyone except themselves.

By choosing to believe she's better, by wanting Harris they don't have to attend the fact that even if they don't Harris will be the candidate decided for them. Unless they convince themselves they want what the tv tells them they want this have to contend with the fact they have no voice at all.

No, see i think they know it... but if they pretend they don't they can act all outaged later.

think-about-it that is radlibs favorite thing in the world. Being wrong and then being outraged about it (while doing nothing) later.

By choosing to believe she's better, by wanting Harris they don't have to attend the fact that even if they don't Harris will be the candidate decided for them

Great post! That makes a lot of sense. "Politics are downstream from culture" is a bullshit obviously untrue phrase, but it is true for libs "politics" because there is nothing for them but culture. There is no politics - no way to actually influence the world, they can only engage in culture. And they have maintain the culture of democracy. In that way Trump is the "end of democracy." Not in an actual way, but in libs cultural idea

At this point stop the theater and end this mockery, the "democracy" has been dead for decades (if it ever was there)
