    I think it's fine to keep lemmy.ml while operating a whitelist.

    When I browse their comms locally I see some shit but from my hexbear account it's fine.

    I do question the sh.itjust.works federation though. I've never seen anything of value coming from that instance.

    I hope you can keep this site going. I don't contribute much as I have zero food presentation skills but I really appreciate this place existing.

      Thanks for you input, to be honest I thought sh.itjust.works was different but now that I am taking a stricter look at the communities that have been federated they host some questionable things I have already blocked on the community level. I'll see how it goes, there is a comm on there I like where we just post songs. Maybe we'll move that to a new instance.

      Hi!

      Please don't feel like your food photo contributions are unwelcome if they aren't polished. If I recall correctly, one of the goals of the community was to reflect real vegan food, to help demonstrate how accessable and simple it can be.

      We have a fine culture of slop in this house 🏠

        Thank you. I will consider posting some things but I think my brain has a really different idea of what looks good to others. I joined the discord now so I might try posting a few things there first.
