We hate Putin's ass too! Critical Support for Russia's role in anti-Imperialism doesn't mean RF good, their decay from their Soviet roots is a tragedy for Mankind. It's stupid.
the melt-brained old people who still think that Russia is communist, more than THREE DECADES AFTER the illegal dissolution of the Soviet Union, those people send me into a rage. like, you spent a decade celebrating the end of history how can you not remember this?!?
My mom is this way. She thinks Putin and Russia are still communist.
It's so frustrating because Putin was OUR guy. We put him there to act as a United States puppet. IIRC Gary Kasparov had more popularity than Putin back in the mid 90s. But since Kasparov believed in the communist party, he didn't get any support from the west. Despite (you know) being a total fucking lib. Fast forward to today and you have NATO falling over themselves for Navalny.
And I don't even remember the Berlin wall coming down, despite being alive for it (I was just a toddler). How these fucking boomers that were like 40 at the time don't remember anything is concerning.
Throwback to when Russia first invaded and my friend's dad said something about "Soviet tanks" and I reflectively said "I fucking wish they were Soviet tanks" and got a weird look from the two of them
Biden can lurch around spewing bullshit about how Putin wants to reestablish the Soviet Union and not get laughed out of the room, it's dire

Communism = anything scary, but is undefinable.

In fairness to the brainworms I imagine a lot of the tanks and weapons being used on both sides were from the soviet era.
