I'll give mine to get the ball rolling.

There was a user that, before getting banned, declared that every single living human being alive on Earth right now should not exist because no one had the benefit of a pre-conception device on hand to somehow determine each individual's consent to exist before they started to exist.

I don't know if that take would make David Benatar blush, make David Benatar cackle with glee, or if that was posted by David Benatar himself.

I think 7deadlyfetishes was banned for saying something like Nazi Concentration Camps guards were just following orders.

yep, funnily enough he was the one that brought up the nazis and defended the SS soldiers for following orders (an army made up of volunteers) when they were talking about US soldiers during the vietnam war

I mean... They literally were. Do people who bring that up think it absolves the Nazi rank and file? Isn't the point that they suck for following the orders? I don't get it.

I think they think: “Well, in the military/police/security, they break down you down and teach you to just be a mindless drone that just follows orders”. Which is true, but that doesn't mean that gives you the right to go around killing and torturing literally innocent people and children because some general gave you orders. Besides, comparing that to American soldiers during the Vietnam War? How on earth can that make the US look any better?

The Nazis were literally ordered to kill Jews and put them in concentration camps. Many of the SS guards and soldiers were literally volunteers and not conscripted like most American soldiers. Some people inside the Nazi German army deserted to join the Western Allies or the Soviets (either because they were opportunists, communists, liberals or they were conservatives but were against the war or genocide). So the people who were inside the Nazi army were there because they wanted to be there and they knew exactly what they were doing.
