I dunno I remember it being exceptionally hamfisted back in the post 9/11 haze. I think it just feels more surreal now since I never watch legacy TV but it was an mundane everyday thing back then. It's the same as whenever I see an ad these days I feel like I'm on an alien planet.
It really is unreal just how toxic it all is, and how much they'll openly lie. Journos in this country have no soul.
