people who choose to wear American flag shit scare me, but I appreciate the loud and clear signal that they are a clueless asshole

The kinds of chuds that get really mad about flag burning tend to violate the flag code in much more obnoxious ways anyway. And flag burning is berdly-actually approved for ritual disposal of ruined flags.

same. around the 2nd or 3rd year of the pandemic, a nice couple in a neighboring house moved out and within a few weeks a new couple moved in. same age, like late 30s. the first thing they did was put up a big American flag. the only one I've ever seen in the neighborhood, besides only like 4th of July shit. it's not been like kumbaya around here, but very limited displays of shit has been nice and quiet. the new comer going hard AMERICA immediately gave me weird vibes. I joked with a friend about putting up a PLO flag in response, as this was before the October event, but even then I had a feeling it would set this guy off in a way that would end up with me getting clipped by an unsub during a botched home invasion.

of course, years later I can tell you now, all their vehicles are like pseudo-militarized looking SUVs (3 for a house of two people), all drab green and black with like aggressive bars and lights. drives like a prick. and very normal freedom-flavored decals on the back. always backed in... for rapid exfil, I guess.

excited to be moving soon, so I don't have to be anywhere near this guy when his brain neutralizes its mission parameters so he can go kinetic about some disappointment in life.

Like the old rhyme about snakes.

"Red touches black, friend of Jack. Red touches yellow, he's a dead fellow. Wearing Old Glory it's gonna get gory."
