basically he discussed this idea others have floated of nuking any landing site of human-manned missions from orbit to prevent the contamination of mars life with earth bacteria, etc. Mostly as a deterrent/last line of defense, and he didn't exactly endorse it but like wtf lol
I guess with no atmosphere/magnetosphere there's already a lot of radiation hitting there but I can't imagine a nuke wouldn't be devastating there as it is on earth...
