I love reading comments like this lol. I've been using Linux for 12 years and full time for about 10. The state of gaming has only gotten better over time. There is still a lot of stigma about "but muh gamez" but like 80%(?) of the Steam catalog runs on Linux via Proton.
ive run it for about this much time, but been dailing ever since proton came proper out.
it was nice and all but pretty limiting, you had to recompile and cherrypick experimental patches, fuck around the system... the progress has been pretty damn good. anticheat seems like the final exception for me.
