The actual line is what got me to start trying to cut through McCarthy's honestly reader-hostile formatting to actually read his novels; Judge Holden is such a cold motherfucker as far as villains go, and I can 100% believe that the way Amerikans see the myth of the 'white grizzled cowboy' is really just a facade to cover up a whole unholy horde of Judge Holdens

That's no joke. I know some mfs in the US military. You should hear how they speak of muslims etc. Yeah if one weren't mistaken youd think.....

Oh, I have. My time in service is exactly why I'm as hardline as I am for my people. I know what these crackers say about anyone they want to kill; past, present, and future. I was groomed to sell my soul to the Great Satan at 16, and I'll spend my entire life atoning for it.

I hear it. It must be tough to break out of that programming.

Thankfully, it never fully took. I was a "dirtbag" who tried to keep whatever broken pieces of myself that I could, rather than let Satan mold me into an unthinking killer. There was shit to shuck off and strip away, sure; but I wasn't some dead-eyed, soul-scooped jarhead by the time I made it out.

I have a buddy who went into the military and managed to make no friends and absorb nothing while playing monster hunter the entire time, he has my respect

It seems the jarheads get hit with the programming the hardest
