    after some hemming and hawing over this because I was raised in a non-tipping country, i've decided that the move is to tip the waiter directly before/when you ask for the bill, and then immediately leave without paying

      I struggled with it before, because on the one hand tipping perpetuates the tipping-system, but on the other not tipping is a shitty thing to do.
      I ended up realising I was doing accelerationism but only for tipping and also I participate in the system everywhere else, so why should tipping be excluded? If I go to work and keep my money in a bank and vote and own a car and pay my taxes and watch tv and go to the movies and buy sugary sweets made by slave labour and get fancy technological treats and doo-dads, even though I acknowledge they're bad... Why would I not tip?
      I don't even have to go that far, just... If I go to a restaurant where tipping is expected, why would I not tip? If I am going to take a stance, then I gotta not go at all, right? It's such a bullshit excuse.
