Hello everyone. Hope all my fellow Americans are gonna have a good Thanksgiving next week. I had my birthday this past week which was fun and full of debauchery. Anyway I finished another playthrough of Disco Elysium, finally did 100% achievements after 5 playthroughs. I also played some Binding of Isaac, but I didn't play the new update. Have a good week everyone

Played a tiny bit of Monster Hunter: Rise, Risk of Rain 2, and Deep Rock Galactic earlier in the week. Now I'm trying to work through my backlog, will no doubt burn out and go back to games I already know I like at some point.

    • Guild of Dungeoneering: a relatively simple roguelike "deckbuilder" where you build a dungeon as you explore it and place monsters for yourself to fight. Didn't hold my attention. The one time I died was due to really bad RNG on a minor enemy that I'd already beaten like 3 times that run. Played until I got all the steam trading card drops, then dropped it.
    • Injustice: Gods Among Us (amogus ): a fighting game by the Mortal Kombat devs, but this time set in a DC world where Superman goes EVIL. Based on the comic run of the same name, but it somehow does the already incredibly ridiculous story even worse because the game doesn't show us the inciting incident of (CW: violence against a pregnant woman) Superman killing a pregnant Lois Lane while being mind controlled by the Joker which sets off a nuke in Metropolis that was triggered by her heartbeat stopping. I've never really played fighting games, so I have no idea whether it's good or not, but I'm not getting stomped by the AI so I'll probably finish the campaign. The special move inputs are really simple so that's nice I guess. Unfortunately the character models are all pretty garbo, and the VA for The Joker is just awful. This is from 2013 or something too, so they absolutely could have just gotten Hamill to do it. Oh yeah, and in case you were wondering, they handwave away Joker and Green Arrow etc fighting Superman or Ares by saying that Lex Luthor developed a magic pill that could make a normal person super tough.
