    I asked a retired EOD mate and he kinda shrugged and said not to trust any of the knee jerk takes until a forensics team has had a chance to investigate. Explosions happen faster than your eyes can see and anything at this point is just a guess.

      I noticed that people on the net were saying it "might be fireworks". After a bit of googling all I found was a tweet by a rando who said it looked like fireworks.

        Link from elsewhere in news, those colors and secondary explosions look like fireworks based on other explosions I have seen online.

        AP is now reporting gas canisters and fireworks were stuffed in truck. I still feel like waiting for evidence instead of reacting is a good lesson to take from the explosion expert. We are going to have A LOT of events like this in 2025 with a fascist actively encouraging stochastic terrorism in charge. We need to find a way to understand in a way that won't drive us insane.

          Very true. I hate it when rank speculation is true or partially true. Going forward that just encourages yet more such thinking and yet more copypasta "proof" which is actually the opposite of proof.
