if you know how to get the switch out of the store, you can get an employee to unlock it for you and get the switch out, have a friend nearby who when youre walking up to the electronics section register with the employee comes around and says “there you are! mom and dad are up front checking out already, we need to go”. ask the employee if you can run it up front and pay for it there. if they say its not allowed then you’re no worse off for it but if they hand you the switch and you know how to get it out of the store you’re good

The imaginary visual of a greying man with a beard saying "my mom and dad are checking out i need to go" as an excuse almost makes this worth it

Oh I have a similar method for trading cards I'd have to do this at a spot in willing to burn

Yeah, that's one for when you never plan to be in the city again and have nothing to lose

Are you speaking from experience? Because from my own experience a lot of glass is brick-proof. Wouldn't be the glass in the windows of your house but glass where anything behind is particularly valuable or high-risk yes.

That's easy to say. Believe it or not, most humans have limited strength, and if someone can't break glass it's not because they're not trying hard enough.

If you really want to break glass that's designed to be tough to break you need strategy not brute strength. Try tapping the top two corners of the glass and then the middle of the bottom of the glass, in an upside down triangle. You may be able to collapse the glass that way. Obviously you need a hammer/similar and a strong enough swing, and that is likely not enough for glass that's designed to withstand attempts at smashing. But the corners will be the weak points if you want to try.
