How did people read, for example, State and Revolution without the examples of the USSR, decolonization movements, neoliberalism, the New Left, history in general, etc to look back on? What did older generations find insightful or trivial that's different from our perspective? How relevant are these texts? What debates are we having now that future generations will deem a waste of time? So many thoughts.
