I mean I'm skeptical of a rushed or botched vaccine due to capitalism wanting shit to reopen asap but I don't believe they cause autism or have tracking microchips in them.

See I had this position until I read up on the intellectual property shenanigans and realized that the drug companies would make more profit securing their position as the reliable and available vaccine producer for this crisis. They’ll make more money being the sole producer for the globe (and gouging their eyes out for profit while doing it) than by putting out BS to get the economy reopened. It’s like being in the lion cage at the zoo, it should be safe as long as their bloodlust has been sated in some other way

Ditto. I still got my shots, but I'm fully aware that Pharma's track record of doing shady shit for their bottom line is far from non-existent.

I plan on getting mine too but now with this J&J recall I'm hesitant. The later on this month is the phase in my state where anyone over 16 can get one and I dunno what to do. I have no problem waiting longer as I don't go out much for extended periods of time and I'm religious about my mask, hand washing and disinfecting anything coming into the home.

Idk the blood clotting thing is a 0.0000167% chance. Even if you're young and healthy the chances of dying and having serious complications from covid is much higher. So I'll definitely get the vaccine when it arrives in my country and it is deemed medically necessary for my population group to do so. I'm not going to queue cut or anything like that.

I totally understand. Unfortunately, none of this is easy because it requires trusting people and institutions who have profited, and are actively profiting, by being untrustworthy assholes.

This has by and large been my position on these vaccines as well. I still got mine but was apprehensive given the capitalist framework to say the least.

Sorry, that was my fault, I was the one saying that Bill Gates put trace amounts of Epstein's cum in the vaccines, it was just a joke!

have you considered that my oppositional defiance disorder requires that I react against anything remotely popular or accepted by anyone else tho no matter how stupid that makes me to everyone else whose approval I desperately crave despite trying to signal otherwise through all of my behavior

    well have you

I'm already vaccinated but what's up with all that vaccine blood clot stuff? I thought EU governments were overreacting when they pulled AstraZeneca but now people are also talking about J&J one. Is it a meme or nah?

All US federal vaccination centers are pulling their J&J vaccines until further notice. It's not a meme but it's also a very very small number. I think the issue is mainly how severe the blood clots are, someone else who was following it more closely can probably correct me if i'm wrong though.

What about AstraZeneca? At first everyone was suggesting it was just baseline levels of blood clots in population that led to the panic. Now there talk the vaccine actually causing clots albeit in very rare cases? What about Pfizer and Sputnik?

can't speak on any of those haven't been following international vaccine news at all tbh. But here maybe this will help clear things up, as I said it was extremely rare, and yes we don't even know for sure if it's the vaccine, they are just taking extreme measures just in case right now:

they investigated six reports of blood clots in women ages 18 to 48. One has died, and a second is hospitalized in critical condition.

As of Monday, 6.8 million people in the United States had received the vaccine without any other serious adverse reactions reported.

Experts have yet to determine to what extent, if any, the vaccine is responsible for the clots. But the investigation follows actions by European regulators who concluded that a vaccine made by AstraZeneca may also be the cause of a similar, extremely rare clotting disorder.

The blood clots happening is a one in 6 million occurrence. It's not likely, but still an abundance of caution is necessary

Some of the force the vote people are now science skeptics. Really makes you think.

I can understand leftists having reservations about the vaccine. Afterall, a healthy dose of skepticism when global capital and governments desperately want things “back to normal” with media ties with Bill Gates and pharmaceuticals (advertising $$$$)

It’s not totally out of left field to say “are they rushing too much, have the long term consequences been vetted, etc.”

A bit of research should point you in the right direction though.

Some of the people who were REALLY online and REALLY into force the vote are also now science skeptics lmao. Also saying that there’s nothing wrong with the Georgia voting bill.

Truly crazy stuff. Pretty much affirms my thought that they were some kind of op

    Le real horseshoe theory

Idrk why the distrust of Covid vaccines is a problem (for American leftists anyway); the general population is never going to get even close to herd immunity because of chuds alone, so it's not like a few leftists taking or not taking it cause of whatever concerns is gonna be a deciding factor
