The result would probably have been the same, except that Soviet soldiers would have waded at France's Atlantic beaches rather than meeting the Allies at the Elbe.
Fun fact, a book produced by US military, openly admits that allies played a minor role in WW2 and that USSR would have won the war regardless.

I agree, it's incredibly important to dismantle the propaganda that US won WW2 that so many people in the west believe today.
