If they are being an edgy chuuni, then it’s just a phase but you don’t want them making friends with just far right weirdos because it makes it harder to walk back. It could be they are just rejecting liberalism but don’t have a solid working of theory.

One common trend I’ve seen is a lot of the far right identifies the problems in our current society which mainstream liberalism just ignores or tries to manufacture enough disinformation that the problem is actually a good thing.
