Leopard seals (hydrurga leptonyx) are long (up to 3.5m) and deadly denizens of the Southern ocean. A National Geographic photographer Paul Nicklen reported that a leopard seal tried to teach him how to hunt by bringing penguins (dead, alive) over to him and letting them go. Reminds me of how my roommate's cat would bring me toy mice at night because she knew I couldn't hunt for myself.

most seals just look cute despite them all being predatory animals, leopard seals are probably the only seal that put off danger! apex predator! you will be eaten! vibes.
