You can walk around a whole city without stepping a foot outside so how is that not good urban planning?
The biggest equity problem with skyways is private ownership. If the skyways were municipal some of the biggest issues would go away. There is a bit of a problem with street life being kind of dead at the ground level, but I don't think that justifies ripping out skyways either.
I had to google wtf is a skyway and the thing going on in minneapolis with 90 of them seems extremely cool, I love them
The problem some people have with them is that they make the roads less pedestrian friendly by virtue of being a better alternative to walking on the sidewalk.
