I lucked out in buying an early-00s ranger for 4k a few years back. Wayyyyyy prefer driving it daily than my silverado company truck.

I drove my parents 2000 tundra in high school, and it was great. I could get around town with reasonable enough milage, pick up anything that was needed, and go offroading with friends. I don't know why anyone would need something larger unless you are very specifically hauling large items.
