Props and RIP to the original Chapo subreddit, without whom I would've never been aware of these leaked audio clips of the Bolivian opposition
With this documentary, we hope to offer the definitive statement on Bolivia's 2019 political crisis, exposing the role of the United States, the OAS, and Bolivia's right wing. If you want to help, check out our fundraiser at http://www.washingtonbullets.movie/ . We're gathering resources to travel for interviews, submit our work to film festivals, and generally do everything we can to set the record straight on this imperialist aggression against Bolivia. Just sharing our project on social media is also a huge help. We'll be keeping you updated as the film progresses; we've confirmed a few prominent anti-imperialist voices who will be a part of this documentary, who we'll be revealing to you very soon. Follow us for updates!
Looking great! I'll toss in some money later today!
Any connection to Vijay Prashad's book?
Thanks so much!
We were just made aware of the book by Vijay Prashad (I suppose we're bad comrades for not being aware of this work by a great author)--we had originally gotten the title from the song by The Clash! But we've contacted Dr. Prashad to make sure there's no issue. Worse case scenario, we change the title, and best case scenario, we get him to take part in the documentary. He's exactly the kind of person we want to be part of this--in addition to getting testimony from Bolivians on the ground, we want to feature some anti-imperialist academics and personalities to help put this all in context, in regards to the U.S.'s historical interference in Bolivia as well as imperialist aggression in Latin America and throughout the world.
Oh nice! I was just wondering because in addition to the name he wrote about coups and even the coup in Bolivia in it so it seemed very relevant.
A great song and a great documentary title
