Cultivating this vibe for characters in the story I'm procrastinating on
(They will read poetry and watch little magic mirror recordings of plays together and he will peel her oranges for her at breakfast and she will leave little notes in his clothes when it's her turn for laundry on the ship duty roster)
Ever since I read Perdido Street Station I wanted to write a story where the cute bug girl and her human bf have a happy ending god damn it
Also there's airships and ancient elven technology and air pirates and lizard people suffering under soft colonialism and all sorts of neat stuff in the entire world I built to justify my weird hyperfixation on interspecies romance
Aww

That rules, I was just about to ask if you had read Perdido Street Station, great book (but gut wrenching in places)
I can't bring myself to read Iron Council yet. I'm not strong enough
