        where's the lie? corruption can be eliminated if you call it lobbying and legalize it, and the systems we call western style democracies are very good at doing this.

      Not even that many. The photographer is playing tricks with perspective to make it seem like more than a 1000 people max. It's obvious from looking at the background and paying close attention to the people at the edges of the picture. The US Park Service has high resolution cameras installed at elevation looking down on the mall, there is a reason media outlets are sharing this photograph rather than one from the Park Service cameras.
