Obligatory Apple is a bad IP-abusing monopoly, but it's still funny that they can bully advertisers this hard with no repercussions. They have a new iOS rule that requires a user opt-in for marketing spyware/app tracking.

Uh oh, looks like the generations upon generations of shitty websites including Facebook have conditioned people to click right through popups and scare screens without even reading them!

Quote this. We are going to get some sort of battle pass type reward system for big tech ecosystems to encourage tracking amongst networks of applications now. You already have this sort of system in China, Korea and Japan with app lock-in with points.

I don’t know how it will happen, but it will be something like open up Facebook and it’s partners services once a day to get points, join our community to get exclusive rewards and 2x points. Points can be redeemed for stickers etc. The consequences of this decision will be just be even bigger tech so your no longer sharing between apps, but apps become bigger platforms like they are in China and if Apple comes down on it anti-trust against the AppStore will really start up.
