Obligatory Apple is a bad IP-abusing monopoly, but it's still funny that they can bully advertisers this hard with no repercussions. They have a new iOS rule that requires a user opt-in for marketing spyware/app tracking.

    Apple Is Bad but at least their business model is selling products. Facebook does nothing but sell access to your eyeballs through your data and it's obvious most people wouldn't use it if they knew exactly what it was doing.

      Apple is moving to a subscription platform, Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Books, Apple fitness+, Apple Arcade. They are doing the privacy push to hurt the players already around and are pushing the industry into a new form of rent seeking.

        this, additionally, if facebook or IG or other products went the subscription service route. apple would demand a 30% cut from purchases inside the app store

          Facebook will never go subscription, it kills their core product. If they had a Facebook gold payment would be on a non-App method like Netflix does.
