I’ve heard a mixed bag of takes on him. Maybe I had a bad intro to him, but I don’t really like him. Ik that he’s been on The Deprogram (I haven’t heard the ep yet) and that he’s lefty, well better than being a liberal. The reason I don’t like him is because he was shitting on BayArea415 for supporting Deng Xiaoping. Basically BE was saying “Read Parenti” bc Parenti was not very positive about Deng. He really tried to rip BA415 a new one on that topic. I feel that it’s fine to recognize Deng’s faults but to say he was a capitalist roader or something is a bit much while also recognizing that Parenti may have simplified a bit. I’m open to criticism on that also, to be clear. BE’s Palestine takes are decent, hell he probably has quite a few good takes but I haven’t watched him enough, what do yall think?

Annoying little shit that pretends to be the most principled revolutionary in the room but afaik actually does zero praxis and spends the majority of his time either having decent takes on twitter or getting into useless slapfights. His takes on some things are good but that mfer needs to touch grass desperately.

I definitely agree about the slap fights. It seems that he debates quite a few people and as Marxists, we need to recognize the futility of debate culture, the spectacle of it all. We are better suited by presenting sources to people who are interested in actually learning rather than focusing on “owning” someone. If a Lib is watching Destiny, they don’t care if BE is bringing up informative takes or not. I should know, I used to watch debates and I never really changed my mind as a lib, mostly my rhetoric.

He has some good vids, but I didn't really like the live stuff. I guess I consider him part ofthe breadtube to commie pipeline.
    Enjoys drama too much.
    Fun to follow on twitter.

His videos on the main channel are great IMO. No-nonsense and well sourced. Even in the Xinjiang video where he concludes there is a cultural genocide I disagreed with him but it didn't seem like he was being intellectually dishonest, just letting his biases against the CPC define his conclusions which is also unfortunate but at least he wasn't straight up lying like most YouTubers do.

The rest of his online activity is picking fights with the bottom of the barrel liberals. I think putting up content against their liberalism is helpful but he goes too deep into it and it's best to avoid it because I find involving myself in online drama extremely draining.

I don't mind him too much. Definitely not who I'd go to for developing my beliefs but has some decent Palestine work and seems relatively left-wing.

Twitter account is entertaining, but like others said, more important work is to be done than dunking on stupid liberals. Has some pretty decent videos but I know he's got a bad take on Xinjiang

All in all don't know too much about him, I don't love him but I don't hate him as much as the rest of the commenters here seem to lol but maybe that'll change

Edgy debate-bro who knows how to do research well. He has bad takes on Russia and China as a contrarian, along with no praxis. Otherwise based.
